This is a fundraising page to help support Josie's home for 44 girls that needed to be taken from unacceptable living conditions, most common being hunger or sexual abuse. This page really has nothing to do with me, Marissa, other than I set it up so that we could offer a way for people to do monthly donations easily. After visiting Josie with a Kusewera team in 2014 I knew I just had to come back and tell her story.

Some of us won't notice $10, $15 or even $50+  being pulled out of our account every month, so I ask you to please take a moment to give to this INCREDIBLE cause. A one time donation is also appreciated.

What I have witnessed here in Manila:
Josie play the mother role like a boss to 44 (at times a little tough to handle) girls
Education and extra curicular activitiies pushed as a huge priority
Full time councelors being provided for the girls to get over the trauma they have experienced
Social workers visiting the home regularly
2 vans carting all the girls in every directions at all times: school, college, doctor visits, sports, to the community center and more
HUGE meals prepared for the girls (dude, so much food!)
Family time where it's clear these girls all mean SO much to each other and are building restorative bonds
The love of God being poured into these beautiful hearts from so many that care here

I mention these items because I want you to know what an impact I have personally seen her making. And she has bigger plans to start more homes to save more girls from a fate that we all just can't sit back and allow.

These are the programs that will help break the cycle of poverty and abuse. Let's all help! Pretty please :)
