Lady Trent's Friends of Nepal

Lady Trents Friends of Nepal is fundraising for Worldbuilders Fundraiser 2015 benefiting Worldbuilders.

In writing the Memoirs of Lady Trent, I have sent my protagonist to many places modeled on real-world societies. For the fifth book in the series, that means the nations of the Himalaya, particularly Nepal -- which, you may recall, suffered from a series of devastating earthquakes earlier this year. I cannot go on reading about that country without thinking of those quakes and the damage they caused, and so I have chosen to partner with Patrick Rothfuss' Worldbuilders to raise funds for Heifer International's initiatives in Nepal.

If you would like to contribute, there are two ways you can do so:

1) Just donate! Every $10 you send in will get you one "lottery ticket," making you eligible for a wide variety of prizes. As with the usual Worldbuilders approach, you can choose which prize categories you're interested in.

2) Buy a book! Authors Alyc Helms, Vonda McIntyre, Peter Watts, Linda Nagata, and Mindy Klasky have donated books that you can purchase directly, without going through the lottery. And, of course, I've contributed some of my own stock as well . . . including a few advance copies of In the Labyrinth of Drakes, due out in April of next year.
