Carly, a resident of Madison and a Connecticut native, is a graduate of Brown University, and studied classical voice under the tutelage of Natalya Bodanya at the Manhattan School of Music and monologue/scene study with the New England Actors Theater.  Musical theater credits include the national tour of Victor Victoria and Magdalena at Lincoln Center.  Regional credits include the role of Sally in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Pitti-Sing in Mikado, and Gussie in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival production of Merrily We Roll Along.  Carly is the winner of the U.S. Performing Arts Award for Musical Theater, the Hartford Symphony Orchestra Soloist Competition, and the Award for Artistic Excellence given by the Hartford Musical Club.   She has also done commercial television work for Subaru.  Most recently, Carly starred in Evita as Eva Peron with Madison Lyric Stage.  Other past productions with MLS include A Little Night Music (Desiree), Weimar Republic MasterpiecesMacbeth, and The Phantom of the Barn – A Revue of the Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber.  Last summer, she also played the role of Sally in the Opera Theater of Connecticut production of Die Fledermaus.  

John Johmann is a New York-native and most recently appeared with Madison Lyric Stage as Che in Evita.  Other MLS productions include Tom in The Glass Menagerie and Carl Magnus in A Little Night Music.  He starred in the title role of Macbeth with MLS the prior season, a role also portrayed at the 13th Street Repertory Theater in New York.  In Connecticut, he has played Frosch in Die Fledermaus with Opera Theater of Connecticut and Oliver in As You Like It  with ArtFarm Shakespeare.  Other NY credits in include Malvolio in Twelfth Night, Claudius in Hamlet, several seasons as Scrooge in A Radio Christmas Carol with Theater 2020 and Great Expectations with AMAS Musical Theatre (Gabriel Barre, dirc.). Tours: Babes in Toyland with American Family Theater.  Regional: Ralph Clark in Our Country's Good, Bob in Beyond Therapy, The Arbiter in Chess and many others.  Additionally, John is a Marketing Director with a major French bank.

Carly and John are thrilled to participate in Raise the Roof's Gala of Stars and to support such a worthwhile cause.  "A strong community has allowed us to thrive individually and artistically, and we are grateful to call the Shoreline our home. We are excited to help others establish their own sense of place by participating in this event!"

Carly Callahan and John Johmann is fundraising for 2016 Gala of Stars: Dancing for the Cause benefiting Raise the Roof.
