Victoria Font Newman lives very happily in Guilford with her wonderful husband, James Newman and two children, Grace, 14, and Tyler, 11, two grandparents, three cats and a dog.  They own Quest Fitness, a personal and small group training studio here in Guilford.  James is in front and training, with Victoria behind the scenes.  Of course, Victoria does go to classes regularly, but is now happy to work out with dancing, which she loves.  Victoria is also a singer and did musical theater in New York, regionally and abroad professionally for over 10 years.  She now works for IBM as a website production manager.  Upon settling down in Guilford with her family, Victoria found the First Church Players to keep her passion for theatre going. She saw an audition notice for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, got the part of the Narrator, and it changed her life in Guilford forever.  She met many great friends, including Paul. Victoria and Paul have performed in three shows together since and sing and ring for the First Congregational Church on the Guilford Green.  Since he carried her ‘literally’ in the last show she choreographed, Fiddler on the Roof, as Fruma-Sarah, she figured he was the best partner to carry her through this dance, and she knows he will remember every step perfectly!  Victoria is happy to help raise money for this cause and help other people change their lives forever. "If I could use my time to help raise money to help people who really need it, what better way than dancing?  It is a great way to work out, keep moving and get away from the daily grind.  At least in my daily grind, I am lucky enough to have a good roof over my head. I am happy to know that I can help people have the same feeling of security and comfort that many people take for granted."

Paul Kuehn is thrilled to be partnered again with Vicki Newman, this time side by side as opposed to underneath her when she recently played the very tall Fruma-Sarah in First Church Guilford’s production of Fiddler on the Roof. Paul first met and performed with Vicki in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at First Church and has also worked with her there in productions of Godspell and WFCG’s Radio Show.  Paul has been in several other community theater productions, including Lend Me a Tenor, The Mousetrap, Narnia The Musical, The Stinky Cheese Man and Enron.  Paul, a Hamden resident, works for Eversource, plays handbells and sings in the choir at First Church Guilford. He also sings in the CT Gay Men’s Chorus, plays flute in the Cheshire Community Band, enjoys photography and likes to travel with his partner.

Paul loves to dance so this opportunity gives him the chance to do something he really enjoys while helping bring valuable resources to our community to make our neighborhoods prosper.
