Dear friends and family,

I am excited to be singing with the Sing for America Chorus this year.  Sing for America (SFA) is a not-for-profit organization that helps people raise funds through singing. Last year, the SFA Chorus raised over $125,000.

2013 SFA Chorus ConcertOver a 10-week period, I'll be rehearsing to perform in a big concert to be held on April 9, 2017Last year’s SFA concert featured incredible performances by the SFA Chorus, Tony Award-winner Michael Maguire, and SF Opera Adler Fellow Nicolle Foland.

This year's show will celebrate the 70s--the 1770s, 1870s, and 1970s.  We'll feature wonderful range of music from Mozart to Bizet to Gilbert & Sullivan to Sondheim to Queen. Now that's a lineup you don't see every day!

Unlike other organizations, SFA allows their members to direct where their contributions go.  I'll be raising money to help support One Tam.

One Tam, part of the Parks Consevancy, was  formed to coordinate the four land agencies on Mt. Tam.  Our favorite mountain is threatened by high visitor traffic, erosion and invasive plants.  Its owners,  the Marin County Water District, California State Parks, the National Park Service and the Marin Open Space district are now partners and One Tam has been recognized as a model of how government agencies can operate more efficiently around shared priorities.    One Tam's volunteers improve trails, restore habitats, study wildlife, host education programs and develop internships.  The resources are inadequate for the mission and private support is needed.  Mt Tam has 10 times more species per acre than Yosemite, six are found nowhere else in the world and 49 are threatened or endangered or rare.  The Parks Conservancy administers One Tam, so the overhead is low, and your donation goes directly to One Tam programs. This new partnership is receiving national attention for how public agencies can become more productive without burdening taxpayers.

Please help me support One Tam and the Sing for America Foundation by making a tax-deductible donation above.  The process is fast, easy, and secure. Go to "http://give.classy.org/onetam to most easily donate.  You will get an immediate receipt.  You may also send a check to my office at 275 Battery Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94111.

You may also buy tickets for the April 9 concert by following this link. Make sure you enter my Coupon Code [SFA080] for a $10 discount.

Even if you can't make a donation or buy tickets, please help me reach my goal by sharing this page on Facebook and Twitter. Or, even better, send an e-mail to friends you think might be interested in contributing and include a link to this page.

Thanks so much for your generosity!
