Welcome to my fundraising page!

About me:

While planning my wedding during the summer of 2016, I started feeling extremely tired, was losing weight, and was experiencing extreme thirst. Thinking it was the flu or the stress of wedding planning, I postponed seeing my doctor until the thirst and fatigue became unbearable. I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in August, 2016 at age 25. I am still learning how to handle the daily challenges that come with diabetes, but it hasn’t stopped me from doing the things I loves, including skiing, cooking, traveling with my husband, and cuddling with my Bernese mountain dog. You can read my full story over on my blog: yepicaneatthat.wordpress.com/2017/03/24/mystory
