As some of you may already know, I work at CUCS, an amazing organization that helps over 50,000 people a year exit homelessness, rise from poverty and be healthy.

Working in communications, I've had the privilege of meeting countless individuals who have moved off the street and transformed their lives. Listening to their stories has been eye opening; it has helped me understand the complexity of homelessness and the toll it takes on individuals and families -- especially in the winter.

It may be only October but winter is coming! [GoT fans, you may rejoice] This giving season, I'm looking to raise $500 to provide warm care packages to the 90 incredible women residing at CUCS' Prospect Place women's transitional shelter. The care packages will consist of socks, gloves, scarves and hats. These items may seem trivial but they make a BIG difference.
