Help me support Hillside Food Outreach!

Thanks for visiting my "Dancing with our Stars" page!

Thanks for visiting my "Dancing with our Stars" page!

On Saturday, April 18th I will be performing at Hillside Food Outreach's 12th annual "Dancing with our Stars" event!  I frankly was not aware of the organization or the event until Selly Vasquez approached me.  After "checking it out", I am convinced that it is a very important and impactful organization.  I would certainly be more comfortable if the event involved something I am already good at such as making a sandwich, changing channels on the TV or three putting.  That said, I'm sure with that very solid skill set, I am fully up for the challenge of learning and performing a dance routine.

Just a little about me so that I may humanize my appeal.  I grew up in Brooklyn, NY.  I went to James Madison High School and graduated in 1967 (along with Senator Chuck Schumer).  After graduating college in 1977 (10 year plan that included cross country travel, Woodstock, truck and taxi driving and a few other detours), I went to work as a technical recruiter (IT), hoping to make enough money to ultimately fund a Masters/PhD. in clinical Psychology.  I also met and married my wife of 40 years (Janice) while completing my degree.  After one year of recruiting and a great deal of success, I decided to bag grad school, worked for one company for 4.5 years, and then in 1982, opened my own business in the World Trade Center.  Along the way, my wife and I moved up to Westchester County (1984), had two beautiful daughters (Julia and Emily) and settled in for the roller coaster ride. In 2016, my partners and I sold that business which had become a national technical services firm (including staffing, IT development, implementation, integration and consultation).   This past October I fully retired and have been busy travelling, completing a move to a new home, exercising/playing golf, and trying to learn how to relax.  Now, the path to stardom and likely "Broadway" awaits with much thanks to Arthur Murray and especially my very patient instructor, Kiki.

Please help me out by voting for me as your favorite dancer and then join me that night to see if my hard work pays off!  For every vote, you are helping to feed our hungry neighbors in need ensuring no one goes to bed hungry. and every vote is 100% tax-deductible!

Each $10 donation = 1 vote. You can vote as many times as you would like.
