I currently hold the position of Counsel to the Chief Judge of the State of New York, where I assist Chief Judge Janet DiFiore in crafting decisions for the Court of Appeals as well as serving as a liaison to certain committees in the Office of Court Administration (OCA).  I have previously served as Special Counsel for ADR Initiatives for the Courts Inside NYC and as Bureau Chief of Special Litigation in the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, law clerk to the Honorable Lisa Margaret Smith and the Chief of Staff to Putnam County Executive Robert J. Bondi.

But my real passion is volunteering!  I have served as the President of the Westchester Women’s Bar Association and also as President of Habitat for Humanity of Putnam County.  I am the Vice President of the Westchester Community College Alumni Association and a member of that college’s Foundation Board, where I co-chair the Scholarship Committee.  I serve on the Pace Women in Law Committee and am the founder and facilitator of the Westchester Women’s Bar Book Club.  I was previously the co-chair of the Mount Pleasant Democratic Committee and I currently administer and teach in the children’s program at First Baptist Church of Brewster, where I also serve on the Leadership Team. 

I began volunteering for Hillside Food Outreach more than five years ago as a “Hunger Hero” and now deliver food monthly, along with my husband Jim Carpiniello, to four Westchester families in need.  I also regularly arrange for members of my other volunteer groups to join me at the Hillside warehouse to help stock the shelves after large shipments of food arrive.  During the pandemic, Jim and I took on the extra role of delivering food to people who were quarantined due to the virus—a huge need during the early months of the pandemic. 

I am the proud parent of two grown daughters and three lovable, but poorly trained, rescue dogs.
