Help me reach my fundraising goal for the 2025 Chicago Marathon!
In October 2025, I’m running 26.2 miles in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon as part of Team Lynn Sage!
I’m running to support Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Foundation, an organization dedicated to advancing breast cancer research, education, and treatment. The Foundation's mission is to eradicate breast cancer by investing in early-career doctors and innovative research.
Help me reach my fundraising goal by making a donation through my fundraising page. I am running this race in memory of my Aunt Debbie who passed away in 2013 from breast cancer. I am excited to be able to run this race for a charity that supports a cause near and dear to my heart.
Thank you for cheering me on, supporting this mission, and helping us make a real difference!

My running story:
I've been running on and off since middle school, but I didn't begin running consistently until after college. I would run races with my cousin Becca around Saint Louis here and there. It was because of Becca that I decided to sign up for my first half marathon in Innsbrook in the middle of COVID in September of 2020.
The Innsbrook Half Marathon was the hilliest race I've ever done. I walked about 75% of the race. By the time I reached the finish line, I was proud of what I had accomplished but I kept repeating in my head (and out loud) "That sucked. I am never doing this again."
After the Innsbrook Half Marathon in 2020.
In fall of 2023, I signed up to do the MO Cowbell Half Marathon in Saint Charles. My goal: run the entire race without walking. I remember being so nervous before this race. I had trained so much and my goal was to finish in under 3 hours.
I ended up finishing this race in 2:27:29, beating my goal by 33 minutes. The only time I walked was to grab water from the water stations. But once again I thought "That was awful, I am never doing this again."
Becca and I before the MO Cowbell in 2023.
Then 2024 came around and I decided to run the MO Cowbell Half Marathon again. After the race, I didn't finish as quickly as I would have liked to, and I was a little disappointed. But this time instead of "deciding" to never do another half marathon, I crossed the finish line and immediately told my boyfriend Anthony "I'm going to run a full marathon one day."
Something in me told me to sign up for the GO! St. Louis Halloween Half just 2 weeks later. At this race, I finished with a PR of 2:15:59 (no, I will not round up to 2:16 lol). After this race, I was even more determined to run a marathon.

I am so excited about this next goal of mine. I never thought that I would run a marathon, but it is a challenge that I am excited (and nervous!) to take on. My goal is simply to finish the race and have fun. I know that this will be the hardest thing I've ever done in my life up until this point, but I am so excited that I have the opportunity run with Lynn Sage.
