Welcome to the 2014 Ride430 Challenge Ragistration page.  If you are receiving this email you have been invited to join the team for our exciting 2014 Campaign.

 

For 2014, just like 2013 we no longer will be making the trek across the desert to San Diego. We have opted again this year to build an even more challenging coarse that will take us into the beautiful mountains of northern Arizona. We will pass through historic towns such as Wickenburg, Prescott, Strawberry, and Payson as the team completes more than 16,000 feet of vertical climbing in less than four days. This year's route is a great physical challenge that always has surprises in store for any athlete who attempts to tame these mountains.

We will begin our journey this year on October 8th and complete our campaign on the 11th of October as we ride into Mesa under police escort. We are incredibly excited about this years campaign and we are looking forward to the challenges and the success of our efforts. 
 
In closing, as we begin our 7th year I am reminded by a quote that LtCol Christian once sent me when he was serving Afghanistan.  I had written him and was telling him about some of the trials we were facing as a young organization.  He sent me this quote;
 
"It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat."
 
It is my sincere hope that you will once again join us in the arena for the worthy cause of supporting our friends at the MARSOC Foundation, Knights of Heroes and Jared Allen's "Homes For Wounded Warriors". This journey promises to be challenging but the results will be amazing and you will complete the journey knowing that your enthusiasm, your devotion, and your dedication has changed someones life forever.  There is no greater reward.

PS. We will be making a big announcement very soon about our project for this year's campaign.....This is the biggest thing we have ever attempted so buckle your seat belt....this may be a wild ride!
