We are inviting individuals with Down syndrome and their families to join us for a day focused on sport, health and wellness! Join the Down Syndrome Association of Middle Tennesse, NDSS, and Zac Stacy, former Vanderbilt and NFL running back, along with other Vanderbilt athletes and NFL players at the Vanderbilt Recreation Center on May 5th for our First Annual Zac Stacy NDSS All-Star Clinic.
Zac Stacy, born in Centreville, AL, started every game at running back for the Commodores, putting the finishing touches on the most decorated career ever by a Vanderbilt running back. He ended his senior season with 1,141 yards and 10 TDs on 207 carries, earning unanimous Second Team All-SEC honors. His 1,141-yard rushing total ranked third in the SEC and made him the first Commodore to ever rush for at least 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons. Stacy was a fifth-round draft pick by the Rams out of Vanderbilt in 2013. After two seasons with the Rams, he was acquired by the Jets in 2015. He graduated with a degree in Special Education and has a younger brother with Down syndrome, Justin.
We will be running football drills and games at different stations (family members and friends are welcome to spectate from the sidelines) and the clinic will be followed by lunch and an autograph/photo session. Join us on May 5th to meet DSAMT/NDSS staff, NFL players and Vanderbilt athletes!
