Not Dead Yet Bike Ride participants have a choice of 10, 25 or 60 mile rides. The selection you make today for a distance is just to give us an idea as to how many people to expect for each ride and can be changed at any time. There are good rolling hills with some challenging terrain on all three routes, but many of the most challenging hills in the area have been avoided.
Combat Cancer Run & Walk participants have a choice of a 10K trail race, 5K trail race, 5K walk or 1mile stroll. All routes are on the trails at Pineland with the exception of the 1 mile stroll which is 95% on paved roads and suitable for strollers and small children on bikes.
5K & 10K Trail Race Course Description - The race courses are 5 & 10 kilometer off-road roller coasters on well-maintained cross country trails that twist, turn, and roll their way through forests, through fields and past working farmland. The trails are level, wide (12′), and non-technical with no roots or rocks, but very hilly. Although there are no major climbs, okay maybe one pretty steep descent and climb on the 10K route, the rolling terrain is unrelenting. The surface of the trails is mainly grass and dirt sprinkled with pine needles, pine cones, twigs, and small stones. Trail running shoes are recommended but not necessary.
Fundraising - We encourage all participants to raise additional funds to support the Cancer Community Center by creating your fundraising page today. Our goal is to raise over $100,000 from this year's event.
The only way we will reach our fundraising goal for this event is through the additional pledges collected by you, our participants. There will be a link in your registration confirmation and receipt page that will take you to the fundraising registration page, or click here to create your page today.
Prizes will be given to everyone who raises at least $250. At $250 each fundraiser will receive the choice of a free Atayne Fight Back Festival long sleeve technical shirt or a lobster bake ticket for the event. At $500 each fundraiser will receive both an Atayne Fight Back Festival long sleeve technical shirt and a lobster bake ticket for the event.
The top three fundraisers will receive L.L.Bean gift certificates of $50 for the third greatest fundraiser, $75 for the second greatest fundraiser and $100 for the top fundraiser.
