Come hear an exciting benefit concert to raise scholarship money for Elemental Music's Elemental Guitar Program! An all-star roster of performers, featuring Los Angeles Guitar Quartet and our own Mak Grgic, come together for a memorable evening in the intimate space at Apogee Studios. Small bites and beer from Kona Brewing Co. are also included in the ticket for this evening of incredible music.

Grammy Award-winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet is one of the most multifaceted groups in any genre. The LAGQ is comprised of four uniquely accomplished musicians bringing a new energy to the concert stage with programs ranging from Bluegrass to Bach. Their inventive, critically acclaimed transcriptions of concert masterworks provide a fresh look at the music of the past, while their interpretations of works from the contemporary and world-music realms continually break new ground.

Our very own Elemental Guitar Director, Mak Grgic, has been called a “gifted young guitarist” by The New York Times, (Vivien Schweitzer), and Classics Today’s Jed Distler proclaimed that “Mak Grgic’s abundant, yet tasteful guitar virtuosity leaves a powerful impression…” A dedicated performer as well as teacher, Mak has been awarded first prize at the Guitar Competition “Luigi Mozzani” in Italy and has been honored with highest prizes at: the Andres Segovia International Competition for young guitarists in Velbert, Germany, the Forum Gitarre Wien International Competition in Vienna, Austria, the International Guitar Competition in Arrenzano, Italy, the Anna Amalia Competition for young guitarists in Weimar, Germany, the International Guitarart Festival and Competition in Belgrade, Serbia and the European Classical Guitar Competition “Enrico Mercatali” in Italy.
