Created by Forward Performing Arts & the Madison Scouts, The Mad Dash 5K was started to support and promote a healthy lifestyle and fitness in our nation's youth, with particular focus toward those young people participating in high school marching bands, color guards, and drum lines. Proceeds raised through the Mad Dash 5K will be used to advance health & wellness initiatives in the marching arts through practice and a series of educational clinics.

The 2017 St. Louis Mad Dash 5K will be run in Tower Grove Park in St. Louis on Grand just south of I-44. The start and finish line will be located near the corner of Grand and Arsenal in the park near the Sons of Rest Shelter.  This race is a one-loop paved course through the beautiful tower grove park.  More information will be posted about parking and packet pick-up when we get closer to the event.

Finishers receive the commemorative Mad Dash Dog Tag, water, fruit and the satisfaction of knowing they have supported music education on a local and national level!

Participants must register before April 7, 2017 to be guaranteed a #RunLikeMad T-shirt.  The event will accommodate as many people as possible after that date, however, there is no guarantee race shirts will be available after the order date.

The Madison Scouts is a World Class drum and bugle corps that competes in the Drum Corps International (DCI) league. Founded in 1938, the Scouts have become one of the most recognized corps in the activity, winning two World Championships and consistently placing as a finalist throughout its history.
