Mad Dash 5K 2017 - St. Louis
SUPPORTING HEALTH & WELLNESS
Created by Forward Performing Arts & the Madison Scouts, The Mad Dash 5K was started to support and promote a healthy lifestyle and fitness in our nation's youth, with particular focus toward those young people participating in high school marching bands, color guards, and drum lines. Proceeds raised through the Mad Dash 5K will be used to advance health & wellness initiatives in the marching arts through practice and a series of educational clinics.

Here's info you need as we head into Race Week!
Saturday, April 22nd at 7:00 AM
Sons of Rest Pavilion. This is located basically on the corner of Grand and Arsenal.
The course is clockwise around the park. Mainly staying on the road. These roads are open to automobiles, so please be aware during the race. There is road construction on the main road that goes through the center of the park. Typically the course is closed to traffic, but it is now open due to the construction. The course will be labeled, and there will be a map at packet pick-up. At 7:55 AM we will also go over the course before we start the race.
There will not be any water stations on the course this year. I would recommend carrying water if you need water. There is a drinking fountain on the course around mile 2 as well. There are additional drinking fountains throughout the course. We will have water and nutrition at the end of the race.
The bathrooms located near the Pavilion will not be opened Saturdaymorning. There are multiple "Johnny on the Spot" bathrooms on the course. There should be a couple near the starting line as well.
Right now there is a 60% chance of rain for Saturday, April 22nd. The race will go on race rain or shine. If there are bad storms we will make the decision to wait under the pavilion or cancel the race.
I would recommen parking on Arsenal.
