On May 1, 2019 the Maine Day Meal Packout (MDMP) team will join with The Outreach Program to pack 65,000 meals to help feed the 1 in 5 children in Maine who suffer daily from food insecurity.

We need your help to reach that goal!!

MDMPs commitment to feeding hungry Mainers is steadfast. We have partnered with The Outreach Program for several years and proudly claim the University of Maine community has packed more meals than any other group in Maine, and more than ANY other university in New England! We are ranked 4th in New England overall for the total number of meals packed!

Despite the hard work of our program and many others like it, the need continues. Over 200,000 people in Maine suffer from food insecurity.

Your donation on behalf of MDMP will help purchase the ingredients for the meals that will be packed on Maine Day. The average cost of a meal in Maine is $3.45, but just $0.25 can buy a meal for a Mainer in need! $1.00 can feed a family of four!!
