For many years BKSK has been a leader both on the racecourse and in fundraising thanks to the support of many of our clients and partners. We hope to continue that performance and are reaching out in seek of your support for this year’s regatta. This event is near and dear to us as it combines two types of charities so important to BKSK; the marine related charity groups that promote sailing and children’s education on the water such as Hudson River Community Sailing as well as the EB Research Partnership. Please consider helping us in raising funds to support these important causes. The money raised in this event is vital for the operations of these groups from year to year.

As you’ll read in the fundraising link, the EB Research Partnership supports a cause that is very important to me. My daughter was diagnosed at birth with a devastating skin disease called Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). At first, as any parent would, I focused on how best to care for her and was frustrated to learn that there was not a single treatment for patients with EB. However, I quickly learned about the amazing efforts of the EB Research Partnership, who are the largest nonprofit dedicated to raising funds in search of a treatment or cure for EB. Your support will help fund ongoing clinical trials which hopefully soon lead to a cure for EB! Elodie has just turned six and is headed to kindergarten this fall.
