Senior Email Marketing Manager

Remote, US

Classy is looking for an experienced email marketing manager to oversee and own Classy’s email channels including Marketo, SalesLoft, and Gainsight. This individual will own all operational elements and technical components of our email marketing strategy––optimizing email performance, building audience segments, and analyzing workflows and key metrics to increase email engagement. This role will work closely with leaders across demand generation, PMM, sales, and post sales teams keeping a strong pulse on all messages in flight while setting the communication cadence and hierarchy. 

What you’ll accomplish:

  • Monitor and manage email deliverability and account reputation to drive increased email inbox placement and oversee the health of Classy’s email database
  • Work with stakeholders across marketing and external teams to define audience segmentation and targeting for one off email campaigns 
  • Manage all active workflows ensuring enrollment criteria is accurate and the proper triggers are in place 
  • Identify optimization opportunities and work with segment/email owners across the team to implement these recommendations 
  • Manage and grow all active email lists focusing on deliverability and new ways to increase email capture
  • Analyze and interpret results from email marketing campaigns, share learnings with key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in campaigns
  • Work with sales and post sales leaders to manage emails sent from tools such as SalesLoft and Gainsight–– provide these teams with audience targets and email recommendations to improve performance 
  • Develop a rigorous testing strategy and roadmap for email marketing campaigns, including subject lines, creative layout, dynamic content, targeting, etc.
  • Stay on top of email best practices and consistently bring forward new ideas to test, making Classy’s email program best-in-class
  • Ensure campaigns are compliant with CAN-SPAM, CASL and all international regulations
  • Manage relationship with ESP to identify new opportunities and optimize existing program
  • Employ custom automation workflows to deliver highly targeted messaging based on user profile and lifecycle


What you bring (Required):

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5-7+ years experience in marketing with most senior jobs in B2B 
    • Experience managing email campaigns in Marketo or comparable email marketing platforms
  • Strong knowledge around list building, audience segmentation, workflow management, and campaign creation 
  • Intermediate knowledge of HTML/CSS, including responsive design across both desktop and mobile email clients
  • Familiarity with CAN-SPAM, CASL, and deliverability best practices
  • Comfortable collaborating as well as working independently
  • Proficient in excel
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills

  • Experience with tools such as SalesLoft and Gainsight 
  • Salesforce experience–– list building, etc.
